Mark Potter | Chief Executive Officer
With over 20 years of experience in mining investment and advisory, Mark Potter leads FAM’s strategic growth and investment initiatives. He gained his expertise through prior roles as Chief Investment Officer and Director of Metal Tiger plc, Chief Investment Officer and Director of Anglo Pacific Group plc, and Investment Director at Audley Capital Advisors, a natural resources-focused hedge fund. Mark has led several major mining investments totalling over $3 billion across Africa, Canada, and Australia.
Mark holds an MA (Hons) in Engineering and Management Studies from Trinity College, University of Cambridge.
Mulenga Kafwilo | Director
Mulenga P. Kafwilo brings over 30 years of experience in Zambia’s mining sector to FAM, where he serves as a Country Director overseeing project development as well as stakeholders engagement. He previously held roles as Project Administrator for Equinox as well as Project Manager for Phelps Dodge at Lumwana mine He also worked as Chief Operating Officer at Grizzly Group of companies, gaining extensive expertise in project management and liaison with government and local authorities.
Mulenga holds a BA Degree in Project Management and a Masters Degree in Project Financing and logistics.
Johnny Velloza | Director
Johnny is a mining engineer and has enjoyed a varied and broad experience in the mining industry. He has worked for several well-known companies, including De Beers, AngloGold Ashanti, BHP Billiton and Gem Diamonds. During his career Johnny has been exposed to many different environments having either lived or worked in 15 countries across the African continent, Canada, Chile, Peru, Mongolia, Spain and Australia. Johnny has filled operational, executive and Board roles across multiple commodities including Diamonds, Graphite, Molybdenum, Gold, Iron Ore, Coal, Copper and Cobalt. Johnny’s experience includes running large exploration activities in Africa and South America, being involved with the startup of new mines, managing the operations of large open pit and underground mines, as well as managing the complex closure of old mines in South Africa.
Valerie Huxley | Non Executive Director
Valerie Huxley is a qualified trust specialist with over 40 years of experience in regulated financial services across Monaco and the Channel Islands. She is a member of both the Chartered Governance Institute and the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.
Valerie currently serves as a Director and AML Officer at Guardian Management Sarl in Monaco, bringing strong expertise in corporate governance, compliance oversight, and fiduciary administration. She previously held senior director roles at Whitmill Trust Company Limited in Jersey, where she acted as a principal person under JFSC regulation.
Valerie adds deep regulatory knowledge, disciplined governance practice, and substantial board-level experience to the Company.
David Rosen | General Counsel
With over 25 years of experience, David serves as Legal Counsel for FAM, providing expert legality guidance on complex and high-stakes matters. He has built a reputation as a formidable solicitor advocate and is a full academic Professor of Professional Practice at Brunel University Law School, having previously served as an Honorary Professor of Law for over 10 years.
David received his law degree from Brunel University where he graduated with Honours
David Pym | Consultant
David Pym is a Chartered Geologist with over 30 years of global experience in technical and corporate roles within the mining industry, including more than 10 years in Zambia. At FAM, he serves as a Consultant, providing expert advice on exploration and project development. David is also President and CEO of Gemdale Ltd, a private mineral exploration company in Finland, and advises a number of firms worldwide.
David holds a BSc in Geology and an MSc in Ecological Economics
